Undocumented Students
Undocumented / DACA students who qualify under AB540 criteria can apply for financial aid by submitting the California Dream Act Application (CADAA). To be considered for state and institutional aid including grants, need-based scholarships, and university loans, undocumented AB540 eligible students must submit:

The 2025-26 CADAA priority filing deadline is March 3, 2025, for maximum financial aid consideration.

A Cal Grant GPA Verification Form will be automatically uploaded to the California Student Aid Commission. You can monitor and manage your Cal Grant account on the CSAC website.

Continuing students who have completed at least 36 units at UC San Diego will have their GPA automatically submitted to CSAC by March 3, 2025.

Make sure that you’ve applied for AB540 status and that your status shows you’re AB540 approved.
Dream Act
The DREAM Act Application priority filing deadline is March 3, 2025.

2024-25:If your financial circumstances have changed compared to the 2022 income information reported on your 2024-25 CA Dream Act Application, you can file a Special Circumstances appeal with UC San Diego. Please visit Forms (ucsd.edu) for details.
2025-26:If your financial circumstances have changed since you submitted your 2023 income information on the 2025-26 CA Dream Act Application, you may be eligible to submit a Special Circumstances appeal to UC San Diego. The appeal form will be available in late summer 2025.
