2024-2025: The 2024-25 FAFSA or CADAA deadline was extended to May 2nd to be considered for Work-Study, UC Grants or new Cal Grants. If you were unable to meet this deadline, we still encourage you to file for federal aid consideration.
A majority of the 2024-25 financial aid offers are scheduled to be released by the end of August. Please keep an eye on your UC San Diego email for important updates and we appreciate your continued support and patience.
2024-25 Middle Class Scholarships: will begin posting to TritonLink in mid-November and continue through the end of the Fall 2024 quarter.
2024-25 Special Circumstances - Student Aid Index (SAI) Appeals: with a focus on initial financial aid offers, these appeals are scheduled to be released mid-August and initial review is expected beginning in early October 2024 and into the Fall quarter.

UC 2024-25 Priority Filing Deadline
The California State financial aid deadline requires GPA submission by March 2, and FAFSA or California DREAM application by the May 2nd extended deadline.
How to Apply for Financial Aid
The first step to apply for financial aid is to submit the appropriate application, ideally by the priority deadline.
The FAFSA is available for US citizens and eligible non-citizens (ie, permanent residents).
The California Dream Act Application is available for undocumented students who qualify for the AB540 fee exemption.
If your financial circumstances have changed compared to the 2022 income information reported on your 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CA Dream Act Application, you can file a Special Circumstances appeal with UC San Diego. Please visit Forms (ucsd.edu) for details.
