Spring 2022

April 8

Spring 2022 Financial Aid Unit Freeze. After this date enrollment adjustments (excluding withdraws and no credit courses) will no impact Spring Pell, State and University Grant.

Summer 2022 Continuing Student Enrollment begins.

2022-2023 FAFSA and CA Dream Act Application: The new FAFSA is available as of Oct 1, 2021. Please login to complete your new FAFSA today. http://fafsa.gov/ OR new CA Dream Act Application https://dream.csac.ca.gov. PRIORITY FILING DEADLINE MARCH 2, 2022.

  • Filing after March 2, 2022? Students can continue to apply on or after March 3, 2022 for 2022-2023 Federal and other limited financial aid consideration.
  • NEW: For State financial aid (i.e. Cal Grant) you can continue to apply through April 1, 2022.

The First Step

The first step to apply for financial aid is to submit the appropriate application, ideally by the priority deadline.

The FAFSA is available for US citizens and eligible non-citizens (ie, permanent residents).

The California Dream Act Application is available for undocumented students who qualify for the AB540 fee exemption.

2021-22: If your financial circumstances have changed compared to the 2019 income information reported on your 2021-22 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or CA Dream Act Application, you can file a Family Contribution appeal with UC San Diego.
