Tuition and fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the Academic Year. Figures for tuition and fees represent currently approved or proposed amounts and may not be final. Actual tuition and fees are subject to change by the University of California as determined to be necessary or appropriate. Final approved tuition and fee levels may differ from the amounts presented.

This estimated cost of attendance is based on four terms full-time enrollment fall quarter and half-time enrollment winter quarter, spring quarter, and in the summer as a graduate/professional student.

  1. The Cost of Attendance (COA) does not include the one-time Document fee of $100. COA and award packages are automatically adjusted for incoming students.

  2. The Cost of Attendance (COA) includes the $150 annual Rady Student Activity fee.

  3. The Cost of Attendance (COA) includes the annual UC San Diego Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP) of $5,643. Read more on how to use UC SHIP or how to waive UC SHIP. (May be waived if covered by private insurance that is equivalent or better.)

  4. Non-California resident and international students are not charged a Non-California Resident Supplemental Tuition cost. Non-California residents will be considered for Federal Direct Loans only. International students will also be billed a one-time International Student Visa Administration fee of $150. International students may apply for Private Education Loans to assist with educational costs.

  5. The Rady School of Management’s Master of Business, Flex Weekend, Part-Time, California and Non-California Resident Basic Budget Total is $127,669 based on the criteria in footnote #8.

  6. The Cost of Attendance (COA) above is based on a student living off-campus. A student living on-campus will have a different COA and can refer to the graduate student cost of attendance budgets for the various components and costs Graduate Students Cost of Attendance.

Books, course materials, supplies, and equipment costs are included in each term’s fees amount and are provided to each student. *Course Materials Opt-Out: students may opt out of textbook and course materials coverage by emailing the Director of Graduate Student Services at gradstudentaffairs@rady.ucsd.edu. Please include “Flex Evening Course Materials Opt-Out” in your email subject line.

  8. 8. Rady School of Management's Executive Master of Business Administration Program (Flex Weekend, Part-Time, 2-Year, Fall Start) new students entering Fall 2024 pay $1,672 per credit unit. Each year the per credit unit fee is increased. The per credit fee you start the program with will remain the same throughout the duration of your program. The costs for Year 1 are based on 12 credit units Fall term, 12 credit units Winter term, 12 credit units Spring term, and 12 credit units Summer term. Actual units taken may vary based on each student’s enrollment. Year 2 will typically be 12 credit units Fall term, 12 credit units Winter term, 12 credit units Spring term, and 8 credit units Summer term. The Part-Time 21-month Rady Executive FlexMBA Weekend Program requires 92 credit units for completion.

  9. The Food & Housing category includes a cost for Snacks & Meals Out. The Snacks & Meals out included in the On-Campus Food & Housing cost is $8910. The Snacks & Meals out included in the Off-Campus Food & Housing cost is $8,910.

  10. The Miscellaneous personal expenses category will be adjusted, along with federal financial aid for students enrolled less than half-time (i.e., less than 6 units). Miscellaneous personal expenses are indirect costs that are not billed to your student account.
  11. Students with Dependents will be given a separate allowance in their cost of attendance.
