All new UC San Diego professional and graduate students will be billed a one-time Document fee of $100, which is not included in the Tuition/Fees amount.

The Cost of Attendance (COA) for the academic year includes the UC Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) of $3,900 and as part of the UC Student Health Insurance Early Start Plan, the Summer premium is $829.92. All new UC San Diego international students will be assessed a one-time Visa Administration fee of $100, which is not included in the Tuition/Fees amount.

The MAS-CLRE CA and Non-CA Resident Basic Budget Total is $70,890. Students enrolled in the MAS-CLRE Program are not charged Non-CA Resident Supplemental Tuition.

The COA above is based on a student living off-campus. A student living on-campus or living with a parent will have a different COA.

MAS-CLRE (Full-Time, 12-Month Pace) students pay $785 per credit unit for Summer and $800 per credit unit for the academic year. Summer term is based on 10 credit units taken. The academic year is based on 12 credit units Fall term, 12 credit units Winter term, and 6 credit units Spring term. Actual units taken may vary based on each student’s enrollment. The 12-month MAS-CLRE Program requires 40 credit units for completion.

Students may submit Cost of Attendance Add-On forms with appropriate documentation for rent and utilities, transportation costs, computer purchases and/or increased books and supplies. Submission of a request does not guarantee an approval.

Financial Aid and Scholarships Office provides Federal Direct Unsubsidized and Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loans and requires the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Private Education Loans are available for domestic and international students. Inquire at the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office for lenders that accept international applicants. Your Major Department and/or the Graduate Division may provide other forms of financial support. Master of Advanced Studies in Clinical Research Costs and Financing. You may be required to complete and submit the FAFSA to be considered for some types of graduate awards. FAFSAs are available beginning October 1st every year. Priority funding deadline is March 2nd every year.

Students who are unable to complete the FAFSA and/or California Dream Act Application or who are enrolled in less than half-time (6 units), may be able to apply for a private loan. Private Education Loans are available for domestic and international students. Inquire at the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office for lenders that accept international applicants.
